It would be wise to get a hold of a service manual and study how the hydraulic system works.

It could be a lot of things, I would not spend the money on a pump until you can verify that it is not working. Could just be a problem with the lift valve, a hidden sump screen that is clogged, a stuck relief valve, etc.

The manual will outline various tests to find where the problem lies.

Allis used to partner with Simplicity, many models were the exact same with different paint, if you can't find an Allis manual, one for the corresponding Simplicity model would probably work.

I have the owners manual for the tractor and my brother did confirm the pump was working. He got it fixed for me, turned out we were draining the fluid from the wrong plug. Once he drained it from the correct plug, there was a lot of sludge in the fluid. Turns out we didn't get all the sludge out when it was drained before (smaller opening). Installed new fluid and now it works like it is supposed to. Thanks for all the help guys! This is truly a great forum!

Great news. Looks like I owe you a hamburger :-) . I'm still concerned about the plastic bits found in the fluid though. That's never a good thing - fluid doesn't come out of the jug with plastic bits in it.

Yes, you are correct and if you ever find your way over here, I will be glad to buy you a burger! Got a few places around here that make some really good ones!

In the spirit of embarrassingly simple things, is there a 3pt lever stop/set adjuster? I've gotten tricked by that a couple times.

Me being the curious type, I would cut open the filters to see what was in them and figure out how it got in the oil to eliminate that issue in the future, along with another change or two of the filter in the near future. You might be able to tilt the tractor to one side where you can siphon water/crud/whatever from a low corner of the tank.
