Thread: new trailer for boat

Looking to replace trailer for my aluminum boat rig, 2000# maximum wt. undecided whether to go with galv or alum frame. Will be using rig in salt/brackish water probably 50% of the time and would like to see a worry free service life of 10+ years, comments on which type of trailer would best suit my needs considering cost, weight diff. maintenance etc. Will be towing 4-5000 miles/year.

I live on the gulf of Mexico, hands aluminum. Galvanized will eventually rust.
