    Default Minnkota MKA-16 or MKA-21 Quick Release...Which one?


    Putting Terrova 80 on pontoon. Any opinions on which of these is better? They both say compatible with Terrova.

    May not be the same but I like my quick release as when I trailer a long distance I will pull the trolling motor and lay on the front deck, and that way I did not have to have my cover redone. And if by chance I am on the water and have to work on motor I can lay it on the deck instead of hanging over the side and losing parts.

    I don't think it matters. I used the MKA-21 when I added a Terrova earlier this year.
    I haven't had any problems with it.

    I use the MKA-53 with my Terrova 80.
