    Default Problem with Terrova

Has anyone out there had a Terrova that would run for a short period of time then will stop running. After about 15 minutes it will run for another 5-10 minutes then shut off again. I am not resetting the circuit breaker and I do not think that they reset themselves. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your breaker. I bet you have one that will reset itself after it cools off. Might be bad.

Batteries. I had same problem. Batteries would be 3 years old in August. Checked good at Auto Zone but replaced anyway. Only been out once, but no shutting down. I did upgrade to a 60 amp breaker too.

It happened to me also, trolling along on about 5 1/2 pulling into the wind and wanted to change sides of the lake so I increased the speed to 9 and that's when it happened to me. I just installed a new 31 series battery so I thought maby a loose conection but everything was tight. After about 5 min I pressed the power button and everything was fine.

Thanks to everyone who offered help. I thought I would share what the solution was. I changed the circuit breaker and did not solve the problem. That caused me to look deeper than I had earlier. When I pulled the prop the shaft was full of monofilament and it seemed that some if it may have melted. After cleaning the shaft off it solved the problem for me.

    Thanks again
