    Default Waterproof grease bearings

Thinking about regreasing bearings with waterproof grease.
    Good idea?
    Bad idea?

Seems like i wouldn't have to fill the whole assembly with grease if it was just waterproof. Unless its not rated for bearings or would overheat, or sling off

    Thanks

I used it. No problems and no clue if it helped or not. Just decided it added a layer of protection

I always thought it was a must to use waterproof grease for boat trailers.

If your seals are tight you don't need it and if they aren't the waterproof won't save you.

    Brett,
if you use the waterproof grease make sure you get all the old grease out and repack it with the waterproof grease !!! it is not good to mix two different types of grease !!!

Why not go ahead with new bearings, seals, and the grease?
    Better yet, new hub kits...

Do not pack the entire bearing area between with grease this can blow out your seals or least make them leak you need some space in there for expansion when the bearings get warm.
