Does the new line from tank have a (FDV) fuel demand valve. New portable tanks installed buy dealers, they are supposed to install that valve in fuel line , after 2006. It's supposed to work as a anti-siphon / and tank pressure release. Some new tanks have vent and some don't. I've ran across about 4 this yr. With same problem . valves not working rite.

2011 not '06 they don't want vapors venting. I'd call dealer and ask what to do. What type warranty did u get ? I know what I've told customer's to do and had positive results.

I had the same problem. I started leaving the gas cap a little loose so pressure could escape. Maybe that will work on yours.

My cap had a tiny hole in the top and a small rubber valve on the bottom. (shaped like a cone) The rubber gummed up and wouldn't let it vent and it did the same as your is. I cut the rubber valve off and it hasnt happened since.

It one of those new EPA tanks. It won’t vent until it builds up 5psi of pressure
