Will find out i drilled a small hole in the cap today.
Will that solve the problem with no ill side effects?
How big a hole?
My new tank swells up like the Pillsbury Doughboy.

when i went to leave lake today the primer bulb would not work, held finger on my hole still nothing motor did start for about 30 secounds and shut down, loaded boat by hand on trailer and came home put boat in the garage went back and grabed the primer bulb it was pretty firm i squeezed it a few times it was like a rock? now iam really wondering? I wont leave to go fishing without checking it at home first for now.
Hold the bulb straight up...end going to motor on top....then pump it up.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

What G said, I just release the pressure on the tank, does not happen until hot weather.

After the motor ran I didnt mess with it no more at the lake is that what got things flowing? i just walked out there its still very firm.
The bottom of the cap should have a duck bill valve. A small red rubber piece. Grab it with pliers and rip it out. It should then vent like an older tank.
I'd rather be fishing.skunked again LIKED above postslowhand thanked you for this post
