I'm really not a big fan of those, I don't think there's any way to really lock them. I'd take some measurements and see if one of these could be welded on.

I have the above style coupler. I'm trying to figure out the best item to use, to lock it - while it's being towed.
I've emailed this picture to a local trailer company, and etrailer.com, to no avail.
Would a padlock be best? Something else?
The hole is only on one side, however, I could drill a hole on the other side, if that would help any.

I pulled trailers for years in my auto racing hobby. I will echo the above suggestion. The Bulldog coupler is the safest, most secure you can own.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
Thanks all! The bugger of it, I recently painted the trailer white, jack re mounted, and got it all wired up.
Decision time.

I crawled under the tongue earlier, it's welded on the bottom also UUGGGHHHH. No way I'm grinder under there, my die grinder isn't near long enough.

Drill the hole and use a hitch pin with a keeper.
Something like this > CountyLine Safety Lock Hitch Pin, 4 in. Usable Pin Length, S071011SPTS at Tractor Supply Co.
No way to modify it? I have a trailer with that style of coupler, and it has a pin.
I use one of these : Shop Towing Accessories: Trailer Hitches, Tow Bars & More
It's on the trailer when I'm towing the boat, when the truck/trailer is parked at the ramp, and when the boat/trailer are parked here at home.
artcarney_agr - I'll look into that.
crappiepappy -which one? When I click the link, it brings up all 3000+ trailer items.
