Just called - currently still in development. The only other option for this motor is the DD26 one, but at $200+ dollars it is expensive.

Here is the one I went with. At the time, it was a hundred dollar bill.
I just noticed all kinds of "Clones" all over Amazon - I don't know about those...

I looked and they did not make one for a smaller yamaha 2 stroke.
This is correct. I have had both, and while the MotorMate is handier, smaller, and reduces side to side steering movement, it does in fact put more stress on the transom.

Sure newer transoms are stronger, but they are built stronger to handle on-the-water forces more so than highway trailering forces.

I prefer to go with the "stick" as I like to call it, that transfers shock loads to the trailer instead of the transom....but to each his own.

Word of warning on the MotorMate style, be sure you are not putting it into the outermost hole. I've seen the motor bracket itself shear off from trailering forces with it in the first hole. You want it in at the least the second hole inward so there's more "meat" to resist the chance of shearing.

The bracket in the first hole in this picture is a no-no:

In the second hole is what you want, like this:
