Granger, and some of the auto parts stores have a mechanics step that hooks over tire with platform saves from trying to climb the tire

    That’s a great idea.
This winter when too windy and cold to fish, put it in the garage and checker it like a gunstock

Also I bought a work platform from Lowe’s it’s 4 ft long about 14wide , set at back tire walk out to trailer, legs fold up and can put in cab, to keep from getting stolen, many uses when not fishing like changing light bulbs painting, when you don’t want a ladder also set by boat to reach or climb into it, Name: IMG_0227.jpg

Today we have a steady breeze of 15-25, with gusts to 45. Spotlock would be nice!! It is however, supposed to get to 50°, and sunny.

What about a longer drawbar, for the receiver? Granted, it change center of gravity for the trailer.

My two cents, seal the wood and sand it smooth before putting on the non skid tape. The porous wood won’t hold on near as long compared to a smooth sealed surface. Also, round the corners of the tape, don’t leave them square as the corners catch on the tread on the soles of your shoes and start to peel. Nice step, should’ve had one on the other woman.
