I use a rope most of the time and it makes it easy to pull the boat right up to the bank and step in except when launching in high water or on shallow ramps . I looked at a set of easy steps on a guys boat yesterday at the ramp ! Sure would make it a lot easier when u have to climb in or out!

I was forced to make something as well. I ruptured my right calf muscle working in the garage in mid-october, was then told "NO HUNTING" by the doctor. Well, it was my daughter's first year.....5:30a walking in during Illinois shotgun season, I blew it a second time. She shot her deer, then she had to haul me out of the woods, too. Still struggle with it, but have to do what I need to do to hit the water.

That sounds pretty painful for sure.
