Default Mounting minn Kota terrova to bass tracker pro crappie

Any advice on mounting location or how to on mounting terrova to bass tracker pro crappie, wanting to do it myself but don’t want to screw it up. Thought some of you guys may have mounted a terrova in this particular boat. Thank you

minnkota offers installation instructions on their website. Its 4 bolts, pretty easy. I would get a quick release bracket, simplifies the install and if you change motors in the future you can make new holes in the bracket rather than your boat.

Pretty straight forward. Hopefully gen273 can chime in, he put a powerdrive v2 on mine. Only problem we had was getting to the bolts to tighten them up. Not much room in there when you take the front panel off. Mine is a 2001. What model is yours?

Mine is a 2005. If you don’t mind me asking on the location you put yours, does it hang over the bow some? I was worried about that with fear of possibly hitting it on a dock. Would you care posting a picture of where exactly you mounted yours? I don’t care to purchase that quick release but just don’t feel like I would ever get a different trolling motor unless that one tears up so don’t mind mounting it to my boat directly unless the quick release makes mounting that much easier. How close to where your original motor guide was mounted, did you mount your power drive?

It's gonna hang over, that's how it is designed.

Not a very good view but maybe you can see how it's mounted and how much it hangs off. Never had a problem hitting a dock, but I do need to watch how the boat comes off the trailer. It will hit the bow roller it I'm not careful.

It will hang over as the pic above shows. It was pretty close to where the factory one was. I can’t remember if we used a couple of the previous holes or not. But the mount will cover a couple of them if you don’t use them. Where are you in Ky?

Slide plate that goes underneath your motor is a good investment. On steep ramps the front of the trolling motor will come down on top of your roller on your winch stand. With the slide plate you can slide motor back in the boat and slide it back in position after launch. Not a pretty sight when motor drops down on rollers.

X2 on a slide plate with a Terrova install.

Sometimes water level/launch conditions dictate the bow roller riding down the boat nose when launching and banging into the overhang of the Terrova.

Is the slide plate the same as the quick release that others are mentioning?
