Two different mounts. Both will remove motor. Quick release is better for completely removing motor from boat . Slide plate lets motor slide back into boat where it can't hit roller then be pushed back to original position and locked with a pin.

Tried mounting this evening do not see any possible way to get in to tighten bolts and a nut and washer on. Guess I’m going to use the mounting isolators like was on originally with my motor guide trolling motor. Don’t see any other choice. Have you guys used these before to mount a trolling motor? Thanks again for the help so far.

One thing about the quick release is if motor breaks down and you got to take to service department. It will be lot easy slide off with the quick release then have to take the mounting bolts off. Sometimes they are hard to get to.

Give toggle bolts a try. That’s what mine is mounted with and zero issues so far.

I had to lay down and barely could get my arm back there but I did. We had to end up putting silicone to the washer, lock nut, and nut that made it a lot easier. Also on Chucks boat his daughter could reach them. Have you got a kid or a friend with small arms? That may be what you need.
