    Default 2008 Triton 189 hull

I need to mount something in the rod box on the side closest to the actual side of the boat. Is it a double hull? I need to put some short screws in it to mount a fuse panel. Just afraid i might drill right thru the side of the boat

    Thanks

Have you considered a breaker panel instead of a fuse panel?

Have you considered contact cement, or fiberglass resin to hold it in place...

Having googled up Triton boat construction, It appears to be a dbl hull with foam between them for flotation, which would make since....

Get a cheap cutting board from the dollar store and cut a panel out of that. Goop marine bond that to the hull and then mount the breaker box onto that.

I am betting it is the outside hull, I had to a fix a new Ranger tiller where the owner screwed in rod holders to the bottom of the side rod lockers and screwed it down to the bunks on the trailer could not get the boat off of the trailer and could not figure out why.

That sounds like something my Dad would have done!
I remember calling my Dad late one summer afternoon, first thing I noticed was He was as happy as He could be! He told me He had just finished cutting His grass, and found two boat trailers He had forgotten He had. He was elated! Absolutely Thrilled!!
