    Default 25hp pontoon, which propeller?

I'm shopping for props for my 18' pontoon with 25hp Yamaha.
Its between a yamaha aluminum 3 blade 10-5/8x8-1/4
    Or a solas 4 blade stainless 10x9?
    The difference is $15-20

What are you running now, are you happy with it, what rpm you getting from existing prop? Remember 4 blade going to bite more water and probably drop rpm a little.

I have not been able to run it yet.

When you get a chance look at the prop and see what size it is. That way may give a better idea what to recommend. Props are hard to figure if you don’t know given rpm with a given size, that leads to a bunch of trial and error which can get expensive.

If you can find a prop shop they may have several you can try. I did that and it saved me $200 by not buying wrong prop

No this boat was only used in a cooling pond for a small power plant and was maybe 500' square. It was never propped to run on a lake.

In that case if your having to buy a prop period I’d go with the 4 blade. Your not going to get much speed with that setup to start with and that prop going to give you more overall power.

Sounds like an "Ease Around Boat"...
