I welded a length of 3" channel to a heavy continuous hinge. welded hinge to edge of welding table. another piece of 3" channel is used to clamp the workpiece to the table top. slots can be cut in top channel or, shortened pieces of flat bar can be placed between top channel and workpiece to create a finger brake. It aint perfect, but its dirt cheap and it'll work just fine.

Looked up some videos, came up with this. If all goes as planned, I'll use it this weekend.

Where did you get the heavy continuous hinge?

Redneck trailer supply. Redneck-trailer.com. or you could make one with some tubing and round stock.
