You could try playing with weight distribution. Might be a little back heavy, the jack plate is not helping in that regard.

Move weight up. I don’t think you’re going to get much faster. I have a 18’ with a 90 and I might bump 38 on a perfect day. I have two trolling batteries up front, no live well, and hardly ever have more than 6 gallons of gas in the tank.

I have the Triton vt 19 with 150hp and it is touchy on the trim. The aluminum boats don't like to "fly" the nose like glass. I don't think these boats have a pad, express did but I didn't want to pay that price. 150hp,3 batteries, and 20 gallons of gas and 1 fat guy is a lot of weight in the back for me. I one day I forgot my small anchor, grabbed a concrete block left it up front. Helped having some weight up front besides trolling motor. Wieght distribution might be key with your combo too. Its early so I cant spell. lol.... And if I'm way off ignore anything I just said..first coffee
Remember any day above ground is a good day...

All comments are appreciated. And yeah I have thought about moving 2 batteries up front. Not to mention the shorter trolling cables. Lowered engine maybe 5/8" today hope to run it tomorrow

Finally got it out on the water and it gained me 3 mph. Considering dropping it another 1/4" and leaving it be. Thanks for the help. And if my fish will quit getting drowned one day and blown onto the banks the next I'll get some pictures.
