no , ran like a champ. Had it fixed and was good for a while and came back . was told he needed another coil . he fixed then traded motors .

I’m also not a pro mechanic but have some background. I’ve had a soft fuel line give me issues like you describe. Piece was 4” long and was a molded hose with a bend. The corner in the bend turned into a kink as the motor got hot and the hose softened from the heat. Still ran, just not well.

I have 2014 Yamaha 115. Had same issue and it was what I think is referred to as VST filters.
