I have a pair of 60hp carbs from an 84 that I'd sell if anyone is looking.

I used Sierra kits for mine and had no issues.

An '84 3 cyl 60hp is not the same design as the later models. Those will work on a 50hp of the same block design.
    I'd rather be fishing.

I got my carb kits and finally some time to clean them. I got the first one cleaned but went to put the needle valve back on and the new spring is noticeably different. Of course i lost the original one or would just use it. My float doesnt move freely. Is this due to the different spring ? It appears to me there is more of a gap between the float and the needle and the piece of the spring that goes on the float is longer. Again, any advice/help is very much appreciated. Added photo. The needle on the left is the original. On the right is what came in the kit.
