Yep, anywhere from 70-100 is about right depending on the fasteners.

70 should be more than sufficient. Secret to torquing is that all the fasteners are the same. I see things posted that they should be at 100 and I disagree with that. From all my years that seems it would put to much strain on that size stud. Plus you need to remember this, if you have a flat and so they have to com back off. So it’s always a good idea once you torque them to what ever you decide is right, take what ever your going to use to remove on the rd and see if you can get nuts loose.

    Along Crays train of thought.
I always carry a 1/2 breaker bar. I have put a full twist in a four way tire iron before.
Therefore I have a breaker bar with me.

70 to 90 should be fine.
No less than 70 for sure.
If someone has to struggle to remove lug nuts at 70, their arms must look like string bean!

This post got a big smile from me. My dad( still kicking at 89) always tightened EVERYTHING as tight as his strength allowed! My brothers and I always shook our heads and still laugh about it today. He was a farmer and always said when he was finished “ that ain’t falling off”

Was going to post same but I use part of an old floor jack handle. I make sure I have 1/2 inch socket and ratchet or breaker bar as well.

I would wager more trucks than not do not even have a socket that fits their trailer's lugs. Unless they have a large trailer, the lug size will likely be smaller than their vehicle's tire iron. I keep a 4 way iron in my truck that fits all of my trailers and vehicles.
