    Default Ulterra deploying issue

My Ulterra has been flawless until recently. The last time 2 times I took the boat out, the TM didn't want to deploy properly. When I hit the deploy icon, it starts standing up to deploy. When it gets almost to the top of the stroke, before it starts trimming down, it's stopping and causing the motor to error. It will do this 3 or 4 times, then deploy. There's a little delay right before the error occurs. I can hear the motor loading right as the motor that stands the TM up, gets almost fully extended. I haven't torn into it yet to see if it's just a lack of cleaning, lack of grease, or another issue. Anyone run into this problem?

Mine did the same thing a while back. Cleaning with air compressor and then some light silicone spray all over those mechanisms solved the problem.

I had a similar issue as well. Removing mine from the boat and selling it to someone else solved my problem!

I love my Ulterra. I’ve used it probably not quite 100 trips and other than not stowing because of a twig getting caught in it, this is the first trouble I’ve had from it.

Forgot to mention, just as Marine4life mentioned, cleaning and lubricating the acme rod on the right side of the base, fixed the issue. I used Moly chain lube.

A friend of mine has the same problem and has to take out the battery in the remote and put it back in and that take of it

When he takes the battery out have him check the contacts they may have some corrosion on them, a little dielectric grease goes a long ways on the contacts.
