Thread: min kota shaft issue

I have a 40lb Min Kota tiller that recently I noticed the pro shaft seems to have extended out another 1/4-1/2" further than it did leaving a gap you can clearly see the shaft between the housing and prop. Any Ideas??? The motor still works fine but the gap bothers me since you can push on the prop and it goes back flush, but when you use it there is the gap

If your saying you can take the prop and push it towards the motor housing. That is normal. Take the prop off. Make sure to catch the pin. Remove the line twisted around it. Check the housing cover bolts for tightness. Then put it back together.
