Not sure but do know Suzuki labled stuff is all very high priced.. Ive got a 70 hp Johnson 4 stroke that is built by Suzuki and stuff w/Johnson label is about 1/2 of Suzuki stuff.. might do a search for a cross reference chart and see all the different filters you can get for it, mine has a bunch.. Ive used Fram for years on my vehicles with no problems but on a lot of forums you see guys trashing Fram filters for being junk.

Personally having been a diesel mechanic most of my life in most cases not a lot of difference in most filters but one thing you need to find out. Most outboard filters have a no drain check valve built into filter because of the way they mount. Find out if that Fran has the check valve. If not don’t use it. Lots of other good filters out there. Another thing you could do if interested is sacrifice cheap Fram cut can open and remove element. Then remove the old zuki filter and unroll it. Get a good comparison on amount of filtration between the 2. I have used NAPA gold filters on my Yamaha with no issues.

Ya i looked at the cross reference chart and seen the fram. I called the dealer where I got it he said I didn’t have to use Suzuki for the warranty. Think I’ll just pay the difference only change it once a year hate to mess it up for 20 bucks.

Fram is noted for being a cheap, low quality filter. An auto parts store near me has a display of different oil filters by the counter with the outer cans cut off. The difference is obvious. The Fram filter media looks like cardboard. If you decide to move to a different filter, I recommend going with something beside a Fram. It was the worst of all on that display. For air filters - sure - but not for oil.
On my Husqvarna Riding Mower, the Kawasaki Oil Filter for it was almost $20, after cross referencing I found an AC PF53 Filter fits and is at Walmart for less than $4.00.
    Several videos confirm this:

Cross to a Sierra filter, lots of people always say use OEM filters , and that's understood, we haven't had any failures with Sierra filters in 10 years.
BTW, Cray I was diesel mach. for 18 yrs

Very informative video. I know a gu that had a power unit lockup from a Fram filter collapsing on the inside and staving the engine of oil.
