    While where on the subject what oil do y’all recommend. Still can’t believe I’ve used the fram for years it was all I used in my last ram and I sold it with 230k miles and it still ran great. Guess I was lucky

    Millions of people use those filters, and we don't see millions of engine failures. When used with conventional oil for a short interval, they are fine.

    However, there are much better filters out there for the same money. Orange Frams are overpriced for what they are.

    It's not all Fram filters either. Their synthetic lineup is really good.

    As for oil, it really doesn't matter that much. They are all tested to meet the same specs. Even Walmart oil.

    Valvoline makes most of the store brand oils. The key to all oils is to keep it changed. The really important thing is that you are using the correct vescosity for your application.
