If 4" or 6" we take jig saw and cut. 10" hole ,then install 10" insert with screw in cover.

I was certainly trying not to cut any holes. I will have to remember this in the future if I have no other choice

Installed my Minnkota quick release bracket on my boat today. No access below deck so I tried the toggle bolts I mentioned earlier. Sure made this an easier job. Wish I had known about them 3 boats ago.

Sea Ray, I understand . is floor glass on top and glass on bottom , with wood inbetween, big plate or big washers under work the best

About 3 inches tall and 10inches long. I can get my hand inside. That's about it.

That is how my boat is built. I have washers and nylon locking nuts on the bolts from underneath

    Oh yes, rivnuts are wonderful.
I have fished wire down, put on the rivnut, pull it up and "Seat It", remove wire or snip it, and DONE.
With fiberglass applications, you can super glue the rivnut just prior to the "Pull" above, and it really stays for anything you think you may need to remove at a later date.
Yep, Mr. Rivnut would be quite worthy of a hearty handshake, if I ever meet Him...
