Cut his tree down.
I have an 18 foot "bay boat" that has scupper drains at the back of the cockpit in front of the back deck. If I don't put the boat cover on it, the leaves from my neighbor's tree will clog up the drains and the water level will get high enough inside the boat to flood the battery compartment. The batteries are in cases, so that's not a problem, but the water vapor is rough on the electrical connections.
Looking for a fix similar to the screens they put on gutters, or possibly someting like the green scrubbing stuff on the dish sponges, or even a matt such a dri-deck that wouldn't blow out while trailering.
Thanks for any ideas you send my way!
install drain hole .
I think this might work. Got it at Wally World. Fits perfectly over scupper drains. Probally will use some silicone seal to hold them down so they don't blow out. They will get tested soon!
you dont think the leaves will just fill that up and then clog it?
Actually it worked quite well! I tried the drain cover on one side and a plastic mesh soap "dish" thing on the other and each did a good job!
