Default Water Pump Replacement.....housing or not?

Its time for me to replace the water pump on my 2016 Tohatsu 40. Last year I did just the impeller. I noticed Tohatsu sells a water pump kit, and that includes the base plate, gaskets, and new housing along with the impeller.

Do I spend the extra $30 to get the full kit, or just replace the impeller?

I have roughly 300 hours on the engine. Still pissing strong, just I've always been a fan of preventive maintenance.

Yes spend the extra 30.00 if it’s not going be to hard on you.
I figure my time to redo it, is worth way more than 30.

Agreed, buy the kit. $30 is far cheaper than any engine repair due to poor water circulation. Besides, you will already have access to the other parts while you replace the impeller. Cheap insurance.

on my old motors I just do the impeller. the newer stuff with plastic parts probably best to do all.
