    Default Boat launching by motorhome?

Would like to take my 16 foot crappie boat and motorhome for a week, but can’t figure out how to launch the boat from the motorhome...Am I gonna end up on America’s Funniest Home Videos? I had thought about some way to modify my rotor tiller or something😂😂😂😂. Experiences and ideas needed!

The most effective method I saw during my time RVing was a hitch on the front of the motorhome. Trying to back a boat with a 30-40 foot motorhome will test the will and skill of even the most dedicated fisherman. We full timed for 5 years in our motorhome and saw quite a few spectacles involving backing an RV, especially with something in tow.

Go somewhere there is a big parking lot with the boat and practice practice backing the boat. It is not that hard.if you cannot see the boat then it is straight behind you.

Back up camera mounted high on the motorhome to allow you to see the boat.

My MH had a BU camera but there is a lot of overhang behind the back wheels on a large MH and the slightest motion up front can move the trailer several feet. Saw a few gas pumps knocked sideways because the driver didn't allow for the swing.
The front hitch is the most hassle free way to do it.

I have used front hitches over the years. Handy and simplifies life. I also have front hitch on my Ranger SxS. Easy peasy.

When you find out that you aren’t comfortable, or just can’t get it done, there is always a $20 bill. If you’re in a campground just ask one of the staff, they usually have a tractor and a three point hitch for moving campers and it’s a non issue for them. A neighbor with a pickup will usually be able to help. You get the idea. Having driven semi for years, I’ve been in places that were extra tight and the long nose road tractors couldn’t maneuver into a door. A yard dog or cab over has placed a lot of trailers for folks in this situation, no shame in asking.

The front hitch is a good idea. Please take it slow and use a spotter so that you don’t make a mistake with a lot going on at once. Good luck and let us know how it went after the trip.
