Default Is this a good plan for replacing my fuel line assembly?

I was going to order an Atwood fuel line assembly since I have Cabelas points to use but it seems like those seem to not be the best. So I am now thinking about building my own with this hose MPI Products USCG Type A Marine Fuel Hose and this primer bulb Moeller Marine Fuel Primer Bulb with 5/16" Hose Barbs

How do I connect the hose to the primer bulb and fittings? Hose clamps?

Most will come with clamps. I have gotten some with the mash down clamps which take a pair of channel loc pliers to crimp. If that’s what it has and you chose to use them be very careful not to mash to hard because you can crack the hose barb. I prefere to use screw type clamps and same arning not to tight. By the way good choice.

I'll share a tip that cost me a six pack to learn. I bought a new hose assembly for my boat and for the life of me I couldn't get it to prime and pump up firm.
After trying every conceivable angle I called my shop where I bought it .When he told me what to do I told him if that worked I'd buy him a six pack.
He told me to stand up in the back if boat and hold the hose vertical and as high up as possible and pump. Guess what? Ten seconds and it was done. Turns out the 1 way valve in the bulb will sometimes not seat if there is air in the hose. Holding it vertically forces the air out the top and gravity pushes the gas against the seal. Not always a problem but if you encounter this, here's how to fix.

I would also suggest the S/S screw type hose clamps.

I will attest to the fact this tip works. Bought a new mercury bulb to put on my Yamaha not long after Ray first posted this. I could not get that thing to prime to save my life. Was getting really frustrated, sat down to smoke a cig and got to thinking about what to do. Then I remembered reading his tip. Went back and did it just as he described a within seconds it was primed on caving to this be Judichous about squeezing the bulb and hold it out away from you cause I took a gas bath.

Yep. There's little check balls in the primer, when you hold it vertical, gravity seats them for you.

You can use standard automotive fuel line as long as it's not in an enclosed non-vented bilge area.
