    Default Trolling motor running backwards

I had to work on my tm. Cleaned brushes and the inside of the housing. Put it back together just like I had taken it apart. I think. When it was all said and done it runs backwards now. Swapped wires around on foot control and even swapped wires on battery and still running backwards. Surely I'm not the only one that has ever had this problem. Somebody please help 🙏

Wires on the brushes are reversed, I bet.

Put all of your wiring back the way it was. Then pull the two long bolts out of the housing and rotate it 180 deg. and re-assemble.
    I'd rather be fishing.

Thank you for the input. Weather permitting I'll try to work on it today. Thanks again

Always scratch a mark someplace where housing meets body so you have a reference when puttin it back together...Permanent Marker NOT Good...cause it may come off in parts clean up...
