    Default driftmaster tip saver modifacation ?


    I have a driftmaster tip saver transport rack that I would like to extend. I am thinking about using all thread and a coupling to raise it up about a foot, anyone ever done this. I am worrying about it not being sturdy enough with the extra height

    They do make a double decker model, besides it wouldn't be that expensive to try.

    I have modified mine in the same fashion; just add a piece of tubing between the coupler and the base, that will stiffen it up. I might have raised mine about 8 inches. cant find pics with the tubing added.
