I'll add that the Solas stainless prop can be had for 197 bucks, and their alum props of same size run 75-85 or so bucks. Ky and Barkley Lake have lots of shallow shoals that love to eat props, is why I went with stainless.
That engine very well may have come with that prop. The 1989-2005 Johnson 50's, 13 spline, are all essentially the same. Mine came with the same 11.5x19 3 bladed alum prop....two of them actually.(Bass Tracker Tournament V-17) That engine has a WOT rpm suggested range of 4500-5500, from OMC charts.
My alum props were dinged up and I replaced with a Solas 3 blade stainless of 12x15. Loaded out the boat gps clocks out at 29mph. That's with 2 people, 12 gals gas, 3 31 series batteries, 48 qt cooler, and assorted other gear. RPM's will EXCEED 5500 so I have to throttle back a bit. I will most likely get the same Solas New Saturn series prop, but in 17" pitch, before spring.

Take a look at Turning Point props, supposed to be pretty slick, pretty much stainless performance with the price of aluminum. There's a good prop finder on their website if you already have the OMC part number.
I'd add my experience but my prop has not arrived yet, just ordered one for my 60 Merc.
Thanks for the info. I tried the prop finder but it didn't find a match. I may try and call them after christmas.
