Few guys on here seem to be really impressed with the Hydro Turf I think is what it is called.

    Have vinyl on mine.
    Pros-
    - hooks don't get stuck in it
    - cleans off easily with a hose
    - dries alot quicker than carpet
    - doesn't stain as easy. I've spilled jj's Magic on it, no stain. Blood not an issue either. Stick hand in lake, throw some water on floor, all good.

    Cons -
    - not as comfortable to stand on all day as carpet, especially carpet with a pad under it
    - gets hotter than carpet, or at least feels like it. Only an issue if you fish barefoot .

My boat is an '04 model, vinyl still looks good.
    Drinkin coffee, missin fish.

A lot of folks have said the vinyl is hot to stand on. Maybe my feet are not sensitive, but I've not felt any excessive heat from my vinyl deck and I live in Alabama where it gets a tad warm in the summer. Because I've read where so many had this complaint I hesitated about getting the vinyl when I purchased my boat last year. So glad I chose it. If anyone is thinking about getting the vinyl, my advice would be to get it if your only concern is the heat.

Hydro turf is really good. Have it in our Bowfishing boat and it is easy to stand on and don't get slick. Power wash it at the car wash when slimed up and looks new again.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
