    Default Wireless motorguide lights flash

I have a 7 year old wireless motorguide that I haven’t used in 5 years. I put it on my fishing boat and now I cannot get my wireless remote to connect. I changed the battery in the remote and confirmed I had good voltage at the plug. When I push the battery test button all 4 lights flash witch tells me that is an alarm code. I cannot find a code book. I have found that if all 4 lights light up that you had an overcurrent and to unplug the unit. I have done all that and no resolution. I called Motorguide and the support tech told he thought it meant a bad board. He couldn’t confirm but thought. I thought of a lot of things it was but no resolution. Why cant tech support say this is the problem or we dont know as opposed to I THINK.?

If anyone knows the answer to my problem please reply with the resolution. I hope the resolution is not Minn Kota
