    As stated -
    - deep vee
    drier ride in rough water
    Less stable at rest
Not as much room on the bow
    - mod vee
    more stable at rest
    More room on the bow
    Wetter ride in rough water
Keep in mind, the above can vary greatly by brand. Deadrise, strakes, beam and bottom width, etc all play a part .
    Tiller -
    More room in the boat
Not as comfortable to drive on a long run
    Console -
More comfortable to drive on long runs
    Less room in the boat

Ride and fish out of as many combinations as possible, form your own conclusions. It will be well worth you time.
They each have their place .
    Drinkin coffee, missin fish.

I fished out of a tri-hull made into a fishing boat but alwaays wanted a d-vee last summer I found one of Facebook 19.5' Sea Nymph the motor was ssiezed but other than that it was a pretty nice boat for 1800.00 so I bought it and put the motor off my other boat on it 115hp its rated for 140 allthough IVE ONLY FISHED OUT OF 3 TIMES i LOVE IT SO MUCH BETTER RIDE THAT THE OLD TR-HULL AND MORE ROOM . I wanted an 18' but that deal came up so glad I got it . I like sitting down in the boat not on top of it since I have a hard time keeping my balance after back surgery it suits me fine so there's less chance of me falling out of it when I stumble

I was perched on the rear deck with absolutely nothing to even press my feet against for stability. Waves made me think I was going over the edge. Getting pounded going to the brush pile will evidently be normal for him. My knees were above my hips and that made it difficult to stand up, then I had to climb over the bench seat to get my "perch" seat. My friend? Well, I noticed that the effort to mount the front deck from his driving seat was strenuous for him too. So he has a brand new boat for about $16,000.........but he bought a young man's bass boat !! As soon as the knees or hips start aching he too will wise up to the benefits of the deeper v- bow boats.
My friend went fishing with me, in my boat a few days ago. I did not ask him anything, but he stated that he liked my boat better than he thought he would. He also said I had it rigged perfectly.....shouldn't change a thing. For months he has been having severe leg cramps. Well he had one in my boat, 30 minutes of leg cramps! He was able to lay down stretched out on the floor. Seriously, if that happens in his boat, he will be in a drastic state, as there is no safe area to stretch out.

After buying many boats for 60-years I've learned that we buy what we can afford. I would never finance a boat.

Pros and cons with them all, and I've owned/fished in them all.
Personally, I don't like decks. I like to sit in the boat. But, boat manufacturers just don't make them. I bought my Javelin for this reason. It has a large shallow front deck and the rear has no deck. Seat is on floor.

Grumman and Lowe made a side console in the 90's that was near perfect IMO, and I fished with a guy that had one. Seats in the front and rear, storage down one side, side console, semi-v hull, and no decks. It handled rough water pretty well considering, but could go shallow too.

Deep v, I love mine- AlumaCraft. It goes very shallow also. If the troll motor is not stuck in the mud, you can go there. Very safe also.

Ford, dodge, chevy? All good, just personal preference.

I'm a 16' mod v, stick steer guy. I mainly fish smaller water <300ac. Price, weight, ease of use, just down right comfortable-----for me.
