    it will not stay in position when I take the foot off foot peddle. wide open it is hard to keep it in a forward position. it wants to turn backward.
    retired and now i will always fish

    you need to get one of these. really solved those issues for me.

    Some of those MGs have tension adjusting screws on the bottom of the pedals. I read that somewhere. They may just be for cable tension. I can't remember.

    that should work. thought about putting a rubber hose around the shaft like that. will order one. thanks for the info.

    i ordered one yesterday.i hope it is the right one could not find the model # motor guide yw40 the other is the same size it is a pro series 3400 but the shaft is the same size.
    retired and now i will always fish
