actually the one on right is pee hole, left is exhaust. May try taking off covers to get to it.
One dealer around here doesn't even want to work on a motor over 15 yrs old.. wont give a estimate to do anything unless I leave it there with them and let them make a work order out on it wont do it while I wait when I bring it in which makes me not trust them.
Other dealer wants 100.00 a hour but wont give me a price for doing it said they just have to tear it down and see.

My friend and I both had DF 140s my tell-tail stream was like your yours, his shot out the back 2 feet, his had a rubber reducer with a smaller hole (about1/8") slipped over the bigger hole, it looked like a original part.
I made one mine then it shot out a couple feet too.

Here is a parts diagram that shows those plugs being in the oil pan. If this is the correct one yes your going to have to remove covers.

    Cray,
thanks for the link, it looks like the indicator tube cover is designed to increase water pressure coming out of indicator hole, or at least it looks like its necked down to do it just like Central Minn says in his post above.
But on mine the water doesn't resemble any kind of a stream it basically just drips out very slowly.
I may call a Johnson or Suzuki dealer and see if I can find out for sure, if I can get a straight answer from them.

The few Suzuki’s I have been around normally pee a really strong stream way out. I agree on it being necked down. You might call BigRiverMarine on here. He is a dealer for them. And pretty knowledable about them. He is usually very helpful to us on here if he is not fishing a tourney.

thanks Cane Pole it does look like I'm going to have to remove the right side cover to get to the hose. Plus Big River Marine said the little directional cover for pee hole that controls direction and pressure is missing also.. going to give him a call tomorrow.

Waiting on wire so I can extend my trolling motor/access wires over to my 2 new batteries I just added, should be here in a couple days.. then I will be able to take it out on water and try it, was told if it was going to overheat it should of done it in a few minutes running with hose hooked up..have read several treads on other forums where owners of the D70/Johnsons said there boats wouldn't pee water unless in a barrel or lake.. also my pee hole cover is missing which increases pressure causing it to shoot out so that's probably the reason its not shooting out..
It will be probably next weekend before I get to try it out, raining here right now/tomorrow so couldn't get out even if I wanted.
Thanks Dutchman thanked you for this post
