    Default engine bogs on occasion

2011 Merc 4 stroke 30hp engine. kinda bogs momentarily on occasion, the resumes normal. This happens at idle or WOT and places in between. New fuel line, tank flushed, new gas, all the easy and obvious (to me) stuff. This is a low hour engine and well maintained.

Engine probs started back in April. Things improved after running sea foam thru a tank of gas. The bog down (miss) just happens on occasion. Boat is serviced yearly at local dealer. I haven't been to them yet about the problem. Computer testing looked good last year, but I don't know what all they test.

I am savvy enough to know I am not savvy enough to know the answer.

    Suggestions???

If sea foam helped I might try a full decarb as prescribed here and in other places...easy to do. Then a carb job if that didn't help. Could be a small piece of trash in there around that never passes or causes major trouble, but gets in a position to cause a stumble now and again. Those would both be pretty easy and cheap. Might also check the linkages as as you throttle up and down...unlikely but could check. Might get you started. A prob like that is hard to diagnose.

Fuel injected. If it had a bad carb, it would already be running rite.

Try putting some Lucas Injector cleaner in your gas and then run the snot out of it...On fuel injected engines the Lucas works better for me than the Seafoam.

I've read that the "vapor separator tank" has filters in it that can clog, and cause all sort of bogging issues.
