Most all fast idle levers only work when shifter is in neutral , not brand specific
I have a2004 4 stroke fuel injected motor and I'm having a hard time regulating rpms while trolling. Going downwind is usually fine but when I turn into the wind I'm either going to slow or when I try to bump the throttle a little my motor wants to pick up a couple hundred rpms and I'm going too fast. My question is : is there a way that I can use the fast idle lever on my control box to gradually increase rpms while the motor is in gear? I see no need for the lever otherwise. It would be great if I could modify it to work while in gear to make minor speed adjustments. Thanks in advance, Fred

Yes, I know that.... My question is " can the control box be modified to let the fast idle lever work while in gear"???
Don't think it can be modified. Put a trolling plate on it or tow a 5 gal bucket.
Just get one of these Trol-A-Matic | T and L Products
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

When my 2005 DF 140 Zuki acted like that I put new throttle and shift cables on,it helped a lot. I guy doesn't realize how hard the that stuff moves after years of use till you put a new set on.
