    Default Aluminum boat repair

I have a decent crack in the bottom of my tracker. Someone before me had put some rubbery stuff around it, and it held for a few years, but it has started to come off and put more water in the boat. What can I put on the crack to stop it from leaking?Name: IMG_0483.jpg

Yeah, I would have that welded to stop the cracking.

Definitely have it welded ... If a chunk came out, your Boat could sink faster than you could get it out of the water ...

I think this would work. BUT for 70$ its be cheaper to have it welded. Find a TIG or heliarc

TIG welding is the only permanent solution. Do not have each crack welded. Have a good welder scab each side with a single piece of aluminum. Fixed properly it will last a lifetime.
