    Default Water in fuel

I have a pontoon boat and water got in my tank. I’ve removed all fuel and water & replaced with fresh gas. Removed the fuel filter and primed new fuel thru the line. The motor is a 115hp fuel injected, 2 stroke, auto oil mix. The motor is having a hard time starting. Do I keep trying until the injector works the new fuel thru?

What brand and year motor. In most cases you are going to have a small reservoir that the electric pump is mounted in. You probably need to remove fuel line from there to injector, turn key on and let it run, do this several times until you get clean fuel out of that line. Might want to add a different line to it so you can capture that fuel in some small container.

The motor is an Evinrude 2007 salt water edition.

Thanks Cray, got the motor running somewhat , I’m letting it run in hopes of getting the water out of the injectors.

Once you get her running good I would go back and change fuel filters.

Thanks Cray, running good now. Going to put it on the water and run it a little. You think I need to put heat or something in the gas?

I'm far from being Cray, but sea foam or sta-bil are both good and I keep one or the other in my fuel all the time.

I agree with Wannabe, I'd run some seafoam in it and just add a little every fill up. It's a cleaner but also has a stabilizer in it.

I agree with Cray & Wannabe .... SeaFoam is what I run in my gas (90HP Merc 2strk). I had 1/2 tank of gas (87 e10 gas) sit for 6 months, boat parked outside w/cover, and motor fired right up as if it was running on fresh gas.
