Thread: Ulterra mounting questions

I have mounted 2 of them and they have both looked like that to me also. But there just isn't anyway around it the way it is built. Both times I have had the owners decide how the wanted it to stow when not in use and they chose like you have it in the last 2 pics. They love them afterwards so I would say just mount it how you feel most comfortable and go with it

I went with the first set of pics. It seems the least likely way to get damaged.

I used the long bracket that you can get for easy on and off, made me feel some better.

Most important is to make sure there's room for the motor shaft in the stowed position, the hang over is part of the Ulterra. Mines been on the toon for 3-4 years andI've managed to miss everything. You can tell the motor which way you want the prop to stow.
Once it's on the boat and you use it you'll love it especially if you fish alone, you can launch and anchor lock while you park the truck. Just remember anchor lock range is only 1/4 mile, so you may have to hang your remote on the railing at the dock. Oh and remember to turn the motor on before you launch

You talking about the quick release bracket?

I use one to those brackets and drilled an extra hole in it to slide it back further to keep from hanging things when stored.
