It sure looks good but I can't help wondering what it would be like in bright sunlight.
I'm a little OCD. I bought a 96 bass tracker a couple weeks ago and I've been tinkering with it since I got it. I still haven't mounted my new depth finder. Had some rewriting to do and decided to put some LED navigation lights on the front so I took some panels out to add some wiring and switches. Then I noticed how badly the traction tape on the front of the boat was peeling so I took off the trolling motor and anchor set up so I could replace the skid tape. I had to clean off the old adhesive so I fired up my buffer and one thing led to another and now I have a mirror finish on the bow of the boat. I thought about doing the entire top rail but I don't know if it would be worth the trouble or if it's just gonna blind me and other boaters when I'm on the water. What the top rail looks like now in the top
pic and in the bottom pic what the bow looks like after polishing.
So, continue feeding my OCD or stop while I'm ahead?

That's what I'm wondering Bill. I think it's too shiny. I'd like to find something to clean it that clean without polishing it to a mirror finish. I'm going to dilute the Aluminum Brightner that we acid wash aluminum semi trailers with and see what it does. I know the full strength product will turn it nearly white, and that's not what I'm after.
A Scotch Brite pad and a little Dawn dish soap will clean it and give you a very nice satin finish.
