    Will it hurt a 24v trolling motor run on 12v.

    It should run but not with much power.

    There are some trolling motors that are designed as 12/24 volt ... but, if it's a straight 24V design
    ... it may not even run, or it may cause damage to the motor. Personally I wouldn't risk it. Another battery is much cheaper than another trolling motor. And even then, I'd get two new ones of similar age ... vs ... adding a brand new battery connected to an older one, as the older one will simply pull charge from the newer one & decrease it's lifespan.

    I all was wonder if will mess one up. Why mess one up if your don't know. There all was some one that knows the answer.
