Default Battery size for a 50 hp Tohatsu TLDI

The starting battery (875 cca) on my 50 hp Tohatsu TLDI outboard died and I'm having difficulty finding one with the recommended power. The manual recommends a 850 cca battery, but I'm wondering if a 800 cca/1000 ca battery would be adequate. I don't run the motor in temps below 32 degrees. Not only are the larger batteries much more expensive, but they take up more space in my limited gas tank area. Any recommendations?

That 800/1000 should be good for that motor.

I've seen more than one m50D2 electric. Start with a jetski battery under the cowling.....1000 should spin it easily.
