A friend and I made our first foray out for crappie. We have been fishing for yellow and white perch for the past month and believe it is mostly over. First stop at a tidal creek on the eastern shore produced 6 crappies up to 11.5 inches. Tried a different spot and only yielded a few small throw back crappie and a pickeral. Tried another spot and yielded two keeper crappie over 11 inches and fat. Decided to try a couple of spots in Dorchester for snakeheads and picked up one keeper and lost another one. Lots of people out there. Not a great day but not bad either. Crappie with few worms and egg sacs not well developed yet. Water was on the cold side. Hope to make it our one day after work this week.
