    Default Freezing Fishing Report 12-8-18

Man it was cold this morning. My guides were freezing up, my fingers were freezing. I had to stop around 9:00 am. with 12 crappie in the bucket. Only small yellow perch at the marina. I catch a few crappie with gold fins now and then. What kind of crappie is it?

Way to tough it out Andy. I can remember many trips just like that when I left 'em bitin' because it was just too cold to stand it any longer.
Great job and thanks for sharing.

Good for you, I stayed in, very nasty here, The yellow fins are interesting, but, I don't know or what caused it.

Very nice Mr. Shoener- I was just this week, re-telling the story of the Northeast VFW LM slaughter you enjoyed at the bulkhead in front of my brother & I & Jim Brousseau(our hired guide!). Just b4 the frigid March episode with Ron being ejected from his boat. Good to see Marshyhope is doing ya well and close to home too. Florida's flounder(Venice) are breathing easier since you left. Red tide was atrocious this summer. Luckily upcoast, where I am was unaffected. Those neds and pickerel should be overcoming your crappie numbers real soon there.

    Take care Andy

Good hearing from you. We are glad to be living back in Md. away from the red tide in the area we lived in FL. for 15 years. I remember that day when your famous guide took off and Ron went out the back of boat. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. LOL! Your right, about the yellow perch. That is what I'm catching now. But I can still catch crappie. I am getting ready to make a crappie/perch report from yesterday. Stay tuned. Merry Christmas!
