You think Md will do that for tidal water ? Right now theres no limit on tidal but 15 for non tidal I believe.
10 per person on the Potomac. Think MD may follow but we shall see.
10 per person enough?

I figured they would have changed the tidal water limit by now. White perch will be the only fish left without a limit, but for how long.
10 is too few, 15 is about perfect. I rarely keep even 10, but if I was in the keeping mood and was able to catch that many good ones, 15 fish would make a good stopping point.
I don't usually keep them unless I don't have any fish in the freezer. When my kids were living at home 15 fish would be gone in no time.
They should just make it 15 like non tidal that way it will be the same keep it simple , but then again MD DNR is not know for that.
I would think that 15 tidal and non-tidal is fine. I normally never keep that many for a single trip. I would like to see commercial fishing in tidal end or if thats not possible to limit the catch like commercial yellow perch is restricted by total pounds per year.
Many years ago I was buying some catfish bait in the DC fish Market. One of the mongers had a basket of crappie out with a sign that said "Crappie 2.95 per Pound".
Next day buying more the bait the same basket sat with no change in the amount of crappie sold.
Two days later I come back and the basket has maybe 6 fish in it and a new sign. "Rainbow Perch 3.25 per Pound"
It is all about the marketing..
