Nice haul of fish Tommy. Good to see you are back on the water. Don't give those crappies too long of a vaction they will think they are retired.

Did you have better luck in the morning or the afternoon?

Welcome to Crappie.com Hua, I'm assuming you're viet.
Anywayz, I fish at night only since I work during the day. I like Red/Chartruese or PurpleChartuese at night most of the time.

    Nice catch Tommy.
Like you I have been so busy I can't get out on the water.
I might get a chance to go the first weekend in August. I need a break and to get out on the water.
I have a large umbrella over my seat and I agree the shade and cool breeze feels good.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

    Hu,
They have some good night fishing posts on the Main Board. I think they discuss the baits and such. Most use minnows because the lights they put in the water attracts minnows.
If I would be going at night I would either use live minnows are something that would mimic a minnow in size and color

    Default Black Lake Crappie

Nice mess of fish Tommy, is that Black Lake in Natchitoches Parish you are refering to. I have heard that in august they will drop the water level by 4 ft.for Black Lake and Clear Lake. Which for Black Lake is a good bit for a Lake with an average depth of around 12'-15'. When they do this it will make Black Bayou better for crappie fishing, as it will have the deeper water they will be looking for and will be a more confined area. As for as good colors I have been told that a grey/chartruese hair jig will work well. The area around the Hwy bridge has always been a popular spot.

Tommy, they look great. You make it look easy. I wish I could get my wife to like fishing.
