I caught my personnel best crappie on a 1/4 oz road runner this year in cane creek, I have also landed an 8 pound green carp on road runners.
Let the games begin. I was able to get some product from one of our good sponsors here before Christmas, so I thought I'd start my 2009 contest giveaways early.
OK, this first contest is going to be the easiest. The first to reply to this post with a good story about the Road Runner lure, gets the product in the image below.
The winner will need to PM me your mailing address.
CYA - Crappie.com reserves the right to refuse prizes to anyone for any reason. I don't know, I just had to say something legal to prevent any arguments over prizes.

Goodnight Vienna...Pistols Firing!!!
It's my game, I'll send you both prizes. Merry Christmas.
Oh, and here's what "zinsurance" had for his story:
"The roadrunner is one of my all time favorite lures, it's my go to lure when nothing else is biting. I was fishing last spring with one and kept getting snagged in the brush, I couldn't tell you how many times I was able to bend the hook back in form and still catch fish, those things are made right."
Thanks guys, this was fun.
good story zinsurance and thanks again slab
Thanks a ton slab

way to go guys,congrats.
I know the prize has been won, but I thought I'd add my own story about road runners. If I had to choose 1 bait to fish with the rest of my life, I would choose this bait. My fishing buddy always laughs at me because I can catch any species on a road runner. We were Saugeye fishing and not getting anything, so I switched to my road runner and landed a nice one! I've caught my biggest bass and my biggest gill on a road runner! Road Runners are also the first bait I used when I was introduced to Crappie fishing by my uncle. He told me to cast it out and reel it really slow---caught a good mess and I was hooked!! :-)
Congrats Caster Master and zinsurance, I like those Roadrunners for casting to deep brush piles as well, especially with the red hooks..
